My husband, Bobby, and I have shops at Becky's Barn in Lewisburg, Louisiana,
the Old Schoolhouse Antique Mall in Washington, Louisiana
and at the Maurice Flea Market, in Maurice, Louisiana
When my children were young, I stayed at home to raise them. However, when our house began to grow quiet, I knew that there was something else that I needed to be doing. My first venture as a working mom was at a daycare, taking care of other precious children. When one raises a big family though, there can come a time when the heart yearns for something more.
At first I had an antique shop with my sister-in-law, but as time went on, I continued this venture with just my husband by my side. Pearls From The Past grew over time and has become what it is today, in part, because of my dear friend Anna. I have found that being in business for myself, meeting new people, and traveling to different places in search of new treasures to bring into my shop keeps me young.
